Podcast: Atrasado

Ed. note 05/15/06: The Atrasado podcasters have informed my dumb ass that their podcast is in Portuguese, not Spanish. Corrections follow where appropriate.

Atrasado's site's in Spanish Portuguese I think, so I ended up using Google's page translation services, which pretty reliably provides kickass comic relief, as you'll see below.

Listening to the cast, they don't sound like they're speaking Spanish. Anyone want to help here? What language is this? Ed. note: See comments...

Podcast of been slow #0009 - Myths
link for the emission

It is known that all the great artists, of times the times, make pauses for reflection and to evaluate its career. Times later, of recharged appear batteries, they say, and with a great one bronzed. We conclude that to reflectir it bronzes.

In these things of reflectir the behind one it is not exception and we also made our stopping. The example of other great stars as Emanuel, Agatha and even though Toy, we headed to "el dorado" of the espiritualidade, to meca of the instrospecção... at last, until where the camionista that in gave boleia to them left... Benidorm.

In return we are not reflectidos and determined in finishing with false prophecies and myths that for circulate there.

It does not lose plus this episode with the behind stamp of quality.

Hey Supraluxe! ;)

You really deserve to be played. The song is great.

Anyway we ask for a correction, or you wont be forgiven...

... we are a PORTUGUESE podcast ok? Not Spanish ;) That makes all the difference ;P

Best regards,
Atrasado (or in English, Late & Stupid Guy (not been slow...(that's another translation but not the correct one)))

No problem ;)
Just remember "Portugal is cool" ;)

Ah, by the way, don't forget to say also that "atrasado" helped to launch your career.
When you come to Portugal we hope to have some free tickets for your concert and to be referenced as the podcast that understood the music and saw the potential :)

On our side we will be saying "We launched that great band, supraluxe" and playing your songs (I think we can impress girls with this) hehe ;)

We wish you success. Keep playing.

I found this on the web:

Portuguese Speakers Around the World
About 220 million people speak Portuguese as their primary language (over 83 percent of these people are from Brazil). Portuguese is the eighth most spoken language in the world and is the official language of Angola, Brazil, Cabo Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, and Tomé and Príncipe Islands.

Countries with the most Portuguese-language speakers:

Brazil 184 million
Mozambique 15 million
Angola 11 million
Portugal 10 million
Guinea-Bissau and others 1 million

---------

I found another site that says Portuguese is the sixth most-spoken language:

Chinese, Mandarin 14.37%
Hindi 6.02%
English 5.61%
Spanish 5.59%
Bengali 3.40%
Portuguese 2.63%
Russian 2.75%
Japanese 2.06%
German, Standard 1.64%
Korean 1.28%
French 1.27%
