Ok, I'm not going to comment on that. I was just posing a philosophical question and now I'm trying to stay out of trouble. We were there again this last weekend for a wedding. 107 degrees, no air conditioning for the dinner and dance. No one died.
But - the sunset over the great plains was lovely and the wind picked up (who'd a thunk it) towards sunset. There was also a thunderstorm 50 or 60 miles away and you could see the cloud to cloud lightening. It was quite stunning.

So is it better to be from North Dakota and visit North Dakota a lot or to marry someone from North Dakota and visit North Dakota a lot?
I'm gonna go with the former.

My girl saw a Grand Canyon picture book yesterday and said "Hey Dad! Medora!"
I was only thinking that if you're from there, and growing up that's all you knew, then maybe you'd at least have a sentimental attachment.
