9/11

Today is the 5th anniversary of the most sickening day I've been alive to experience. I'm thankful I didn't know anyone who died that day, but 2,973 real people did die and it affected all of us, directly or indirectly. It changed the very shape of our society. It's a shame our solidarity following the attacks was squandered on selfish political interests.
